Hey, I'm new around here

Ever since I started my business back in 2014 friends have told me to start a blog…
​Of course being the slightly anxious and self critical person that I am (pretty sure they are prerequisites for artists anyway) I held off. I always saw a blog as something you create when you have your perfect style, know exactly which direction you’re going in or in other words when you’ve ‘made it’. 

Now after almost five years I think I can finally say that no artist is ever 100% happy with their work  and always wants to do bigger or better in the scheme of things. After all, art is subjective and you are never going to be everyone’s cup of tea or always on trend so you just gotta do what feels right and put it out there regardless. I guess the same can be said for blogging. 

So here we are, it’s my birthday week and i’m all for setting goals as I inch now very close to 30 so I will hopefully be writing a little something every week. 

The aim is to share what i’m up to, what i’ve been painting, where inspiration comes from, struggles of a creative business and any topics you want me to touch on. 

So let’s go for it, after all if I can lay my heart out on a canvas why not put it into words too? eeeek
